Mondial De La Biere 2017

Mondial de la Biere returns again for its 24th edition in a couple of weeks. Mondial de la Biere is a great occasion for beer drinkers of all walks of life to gather at Palais de Congres and sample some beer from Quebec as well as other regions of the world. This will be my fourth time attending this festival and my second time attending it with one of my good friends and fellow beer bloggers Cody from BeerCrank. This lovely bloke enjoys beer as much as I do and it is always a great time attending a festival with another like minded beer blogger. This will also be the first time I get the chance to hang out with another Quebec Beer blogger Alex from Le Malt Incarne at Mondial! I am always excited to try new beers and a festival like this one is a great spot for it. This years event will be taking place between June 14th and June 18th and there are some exciting beers I am looking forward to tasting.  In particular Three Floyds Brewing and Lost Abbey! Three Floyds hails from Munster, Indiana and is one of my favorite breweries. Lost Abbey, from California are known to make some world class beers and having the opportunity to consume some here in Montreal will be a delight!

Since we are in Quebec some of the beers I am most looking forward to tasting would be from local independently owned breweries. Tasting Quebec beers I haven’t had can be a challenge, Because I have already consumed so many of them. But, there are so many breweries that are opening up as time moves forward and there is still a lot of beer out there to taste! In particular I am looking forward to Noire & Blanche, Vox Populi and Du Bois Blanc. The full list of beers at the event can be seen here Beer List.

Along with the five day festival at Palais De Congress, it is standard for many craft beer bars and breweries around Montreal to host Off Mondial events during this week. These events are usually some of the best events for you to experience the Quebec beer scene and I would highly recommend attending at least two or three to further you experience into the world of beer.

And for your stubborn beer munchies there is always a great selection of food trucks! So you can be assured that your stomach will be taken care of. Until next time, stay hoppy, drink and support local! More on Mondial in a few weeks! See you guys there!
